The cut
Swipe your finger or mouse across the food, from one side to the other, in a straight line. When you let go, the knife cuts and the scale weighs both halves. There is no undo: in the daily challenge, your first cut counts.
Fiftle is a daily precision game: every day there is a new food, and you get one cut to split it into two halves of equal weight.

Cutting the picture right down the middle almost never gives 50/50. Heavier parts like filling, yolk and seeds pull the scale to their side, while leaves and holes weigh almost nothing. Everything that has weight is shown in the drawing: there is no hidden weight. And how heavy the filling is changes from day to day, so memorizing won't help.
Everyone gets the same food, and each food is the daily challenge only once. The challenge changes at midnight in your time zone. Missed a day? The previous 6 days stay in the strip at the top and can be played later, but they don't count toward your streak or the ranking.
The scale shows how much each half weighs, as a percentage. Your rating depends on how many percentage points (pp) you were from 50/50:
Points start at 100 for a perfect split and drop fast: 1 pp off is worth 67, 2 pp is worth 45 and 4 pp is worth 20.
Practice has no round limit: it uses other foods and you have 3 lives. Foods come in three levels (Easy, Medium and Hard), and hard ones show up more as the rounds go by. The food also gets smaller, more rotated, and its filling weight varies more. Missing by 4 pp or more costs a life. Daily challenge foods join Practice after their week is over.
You can play without signing up. If you want, sign in with your email (you get a code, no password) to keep your streak and play on several devices. The daily ranking ("better than X%") only counts players with an account, one cut per person.
Yes, but it's very rare: moving the line just a little already changes the weight. That's why anything within 0.3 pp of the middle counts as Perfect!
Yes. There is nothing to buy in Fiftle; ads pay for the server.
Yes, right in the browser, nothing to install. On a computer the screen is bigger and you cut with the mouse.
